About us

The Centre is part of the Learning & Teaching Support Network and supports teachers of the physical sciences in UK higher education.

The Centre is hosted by the University of Hull with partner sites at the universities of Leeds, Liverpool and Surrey.

Our day to day activities are monitored by a Management Committee comprising the staff of the Centre. Centre policies are decided by an Advisory Committee (made up from academics working in the physical sciences, members of the appropriate learned societies and the Director and Manager: Communications from the Centre) within the guidelines laid down by the LTSN Executive to whom we report on an annual basis. (Read Annual report for 2001).

This web site is maintained by staff at LTSN Physical Sciences and hosted by the University of Liverpool.

The Centre is funded by the Higher Education Funding Councils of England and Wales, the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council, the Department of Education Northern Ireland and is supported by the Universities of Hull, Liverpool, Surrey and Leeds. Initial funding is expected to cover the period 2000-2005.
